JUNE 10TH ..... Johnny Cash Tribute Band at LuMil Vineyard

DUBLIN - The Bladen Community College Foundation is hosting a tribute to country music legend Johnny Cash, with the Johnny Folsom Four tribute band. The event is Saturday, June 10 at 7:30 p.m. at LuMil Vineyard. Concert goers should bring a lawn chair.


Described by David Menconi with the Raleigh News & Observer as “a peerless tribute band to the late, great Johnny Cash," the concert promises surprises and entertainment.


Tickets are available from the BCC foundation office, online, and at area merchants. Advance tickets are $15 each. Tickets at the gate are $18 each.

JUNE 19TH ..... BCC Host Youth Summer Science Classes                                                 

On June 19, Bladen Community College will host an afternoon workshop for youth to build and blast Alka-Seltzer rockets into the sky. BioNetwork Engagement Technician Courtney Behrle will facilitate the science exploration class, which meets from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on the Dublin campus.


On June 26, Behrle will return to teach a class on Prosthesis Thesis, a biomedical workshop in which students will build and test a below-the-knee prosthetic. This class meets from 1 until 4 p.m. on the Dublin campus.


The workshops are open to students ages 14 - 17. Pre-registration is required.
